Azam Khan celebrates his fifty during PSL - PCB

Pakistan's all-rounder Shadab Khan and power-hitter Azam Khan have joined Desert Vipers for next year's International League (IL) T20.

The franchise announced the signings on their social media accounts which created hype among the Pakistani cricket fans.

Shadab is currently the vice-captain of the Pakistan team in white-ball formats. He has recently appeared in Major League Cricket (MLC) in the USA and The Hundred in the UK.

He will be in action in the green jersey from tomorrow in Hambantota where Pakistan will take on Afghanistan in three-match ODI series followed by Asia Cup later this month.

Azam also brings a lot of T20 league experience to the Vipers' squad who are looking to win the next edition. He is currently playing for Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). He was signed by the franchise with a contract worth $120,000, which makes him the highest-paid Pakistani cricketer in the CPL.

The right-handed explosive batter was signed by Vipers in the inaugural edition of ILT20 but he didn't get NOC from PCB.

Following PCB's assurance to send its players to the next edition of ILT20, franchises have now started signing Pakistani players for the second season. Earlier, Shaheen Shah Afridi was also signed by the Vipers for next year's tournament.
